Overview

RetireOS is designed to keep planning information under the user's control. The app is intended to operate as a local-first planning tool rather than a cloud-based planning service.

Website

This website is an informational landing page. It does not intentionally collect personal information through forms or user accounts. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to provide, including your email address and message content.

App data

Financial planning information is intended to remain on the user's device. RetireOS does not currently operate a cloud-based planning service.

Saved input plans, generated reports, available CSV files and report notes are retained locally by the app unless the user chooses to share or remove them.

App, backup and report protection

App Lock can protect access to RetireOS with a user-set password and, where available, Face ID or Touch ID. This protects the app on the device; it does not automatically protect a copy exported to another app or service.

RetireOS plan backups use encryption. Personal protection creates a Recovery Code for access on another device; Personal + Apple Keychain also stores the key through Apple Keychain where available. RetireOS does not receive personal backup keys or Recovery Codes and cannot recover a lost code or key.

PDF and CSV exports can be protected with a password for each outgoing copy. A protected CSV is placed in a password-protected ZIP file. Any export shared without password protection should be treated as sensitive in its own right.

Exports and sharing

RetireOS can create outputs from the information entered into the app, including reports, detailed forecast files and readable summaries. These outputs may contain sensitive personal and financial information.

Sharing is initiated by the user through the device's system sharing options. If you choose to save, copy, email, message, print, upload or otherwise share an output, a copy may leave the app and your device. It will then be handled by the service, app, person or storage location you select and may be subject to their privacy, security and retention practices.

RetireOS does not control third-party destinations selected by the user. Review the contents and intended recipient before sharing, and only use a destination you trust. You are responsible for protecting exported files and for the risks of sending or storing them outside RetireOS. App Lock, plan-backup encryption and Export Protection are separate controls; none changes copies already exported.

Analytics & tracking

RetireOS does not currently use advertising tracking on this website. If analytics, crash reporting or diagnostic tools are added to the app or website, this policy will be updated.

The public beta is distributed through TestFlight, Apple’s official beta-testing service. Apple processes beta-testing information, which may include tester identity, contact details, device and platform information, session activity, crashes and feedback. This TestFlight information is separate from the financial plan data retained locally by RetireOS.

Financial information

RetireOS may allow users to enter financial planning assumptions, assets, expenses, income and scenario data. Users should treat this information as sensitive.

RetireOS is not a financial adviser and does not provide regulated financial advice. Forecasts are based on user inputs and assumptions and may be wrong.
